Frequently Asked Questions

What is hydrotherapy?

Hydrotherapy is used within veterinary science and involves the use of an underwater treadmill or a swimming pool. Canine hydrotherapy enables a dog to exercise without putting joints under the stress that they would encounter if exercising on land. This is why it's particularly useful for rehabilitation.

What is physiotherapy?

Physiotherapy can assist your pet's recovery from surgery or injury, helping the two of you to get back to enjoying your time together. It can also slow down the progression of long-term conditions, too.

What can I expect from Complete Canine?

You can expect first class animal care from us! We have excellent knowledge and training in both physiotherapy and hydrotherapy. From the moment you step into Complete Canine you will have a friendly, high-quality service that delivers results.

What happens during the session whilst my dog is being treated?

You can either choose to come and see your dog being treated, or wait in our waiting area with a cup of tea or coffee!

How do I pay?

We accept cash and card payments on the day of treatment. Both physiotherapy and hydropathy treatments are covered by most insurance companies.

What do I need to do before my visit to Complete Canine?

Veterinary consent needs to be obtained prior to any appointment. We can send you our form to complete, or we can arrange this on your behalf.

Please ensure your pet hasn't eaten two hours prior to their appointment, and that you have allowed them to go to the toilet.

What do I need to bring to a hydrotherapy session?

We do our very best to ensure your pet is as dry as possible when you leave, but we always recommend bringing your own towel or even a drying coat (we have Ruff and Tumble drying coats in stock if you wish to purchase one.)
